Beautiful memories

Another little piece of my heart is broken today as I learn that my friend Stella Rose from the Three Little Pugs has passed to the Rainbow Bridge. I know she and Casey are sharing s'mores there joyfully right now, but my heart aches for her momma.

I received the most beautiful memento yesterday that I had to share. A friend of mine crocheted this beautiful blanket for me in memory of Casey and Jessie. It's made in their colors, and it has pawprints worked right into the pattern! <3 I hugged it very tight yesterday.

Casey is now at home with his sister. Part of me feels much better to have him here, even if it doesn't quite seem real.

  1. Andrea that afghan is gorgeous. I crochet too and let me tell you that is a work of art with love in each row and paw

We too were very saddened by Stella Rose's Passing.

As one who crochets I am in awe of that creation... so very special. Welcome back angel Casey. You and angel Jessie be sure to watch closely over mum, won't you? Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  6. what a beautiful creation, love those paw prints and I am thinking that ws really hard to crochet in there... hugs

  7. it is just wonderful... and what a wonderful idea to make such cute pawprints... hugs to you, it is such a sad time... and I wish I had words what will help ... but there are just too much tears...

  8. That blanket is beautiful. It is so sad so many of our friends are at the bridge.

  9. The blanket is just beautiful. Hugs to you♥

  10. We read the lovely letter Stella sent to Casey and cried for both Stella and Casey's humans. It's so hard when one of our dear furries has to leave.

  11. That blanket is beautiful. I'm glad that he's home but I know that "unreal" feeling all too well. Hugs.

  12. What a beautiful gift that blanket is. Our mom went right out and looked up the pattern so she could make one someday too. We are so sad to hear about Stella and just know she and Casey are enjoying themselves at the Bridge.

  13. We had big tears again today as we read the beautiful letter that Stella Rose sent to Casey - hard to know what to say after that.

That afghan is amazing - how nice to have the pawprints worked in there.

We are happy to see that Casey is home, but remember he is always in your heart. We are sure there will be a new stone coming soon too. Mom is thinking very seriously about adding some of those to our yard too.
