It WORKED!!

OMD, you guys!! You're NEVER ever ever going to guess!! Do you know what Momma told me today is???

That's RIGHT!! All my convincing and hard work -- I even pulled out The Eyes, my deadliest weapon -- Momma gave in! She said that today we are celebrating Stay Home & Cuddle Your Dog Day!!

She said we are sleeping in, then going on an EXTRA long walk, then spending our whole day snuggled up together. I asked if we can watch Captain America AND eat popcorn, and she said YES. I'm so excited!! Even the kitties decided to get in on this special day.

I guess I won't have to take Momma to court like Murphy & Stanley suggested. She knew all on her own that she needed to give in -- because by giving in, we BOTH win!

I hope all of your pawrents will celebrate this pawesome day soon. I always knew my momma was the bestest. :D

Happy beginnings!

Hey folks! Remember my cousin Mayflower and her Thanksgiving puppies? Well, I've got grreat news!

That's right, Mayflower found a home of her own!! All of her puppies found their homes, and Mayflower decided it was time to find HER pawfect happily ever after. And she DID, with a momma and daddy who love her so much AND a fur brother named Oreo!

Oreo and May love each other so super-duper much. They play and play all the time. And the little time that they're NOT playing, May is being spoiled to bits by her new pawrents. She really hit the jackpot, huh?

 WELCOME HOME, Mayflower!!

PeeS: Thank you fur your support of my proposed Stay Home and Cuddle Your Dog Day. Unfortunately, Momma did NOT celebrate it. HRMPH!! I'm going to keep working on her and report back with my progress.

Putting my paw down

NO, Momma! You were busy ALL weekend at the Renny-sauce faire, and now you're going to go back to WORK work?? That's ridiculous. I am renaming today "stay home and snuggle with your dog" day, and you had BETTER celebrate it!

Throwback Thursday: Puppy Playdate!

This is about 2010, when I had a playdate with two LBR foster puppies, Dastardly and Mr. Bean! OMD, those puppers were so much fun! I didn't want them to go.

Fashion hound

Momma needs a new hat. Being a fashionable hound, I offered to help her find the pawfect fit. Let's see...

She needs something really original. Something flattering. Something stylish. Preferably all-natural materials.

Yup, I found the pawfect solution!

The Boxer Hat -- Spring 2015's must-have accessory!

PeeS: Thank you for all your kind words about my boy. His test went well. They already ruled out the bad thing he was most afraid of. He'll get the rest of the results later in the week.

Mayorz Marathon Miles 13-15

Welcome to the next stop of the Mayorz Marathon! This is Scribbles and Pigeon, coming to you LIVE from the all-impawtant Mile 13.

Here comes our furst view of the contestants! It looks like Benjie is out to a nice lead, though Oreo is close behind! Arty had better watch stopping to admire the Mile Marker, though -- it looks like Scylla is catching up, and Shyla is close behind!

Do you knows WHY Mile 13 is so impawtant? Well, it's not actually Mile 13 that matters. It's just a smidge farther, when you reach 13.1 miles and....

Mayor Stanley posing at the halfway point!

Yup, you're halfway through the marathon!! To celebrate, we put a dance floor out so our racers can take a break from the rigors of the race and kick loose! Our bro Casey leads Jakey, Duncan, and Tuiren on the dance floor! Shake it, guys!

OMC, Addie and Dui are pole dancing! That's pretty bold for the middle of a marathon! Susie looks ready to go again. Ruby and Misaki seem to be having a strategy session, but I think Wyatt is listening in!

Grreat job, everyone! Now let's head on into the second half of the marathon! As we round into Mile 14, the course turns through some absolutely GAWJUSS Texas bluebonnets. Sugar is taking a slight lead over Charlie, but Fenris is close behind. Princess Leah is taking a royal break to take in the scenery. And WOW! Look how grreat Bailey is doing pushing both his sissies in that stroller!

Look at Haley and Zaphod go! They're going to chase up to Dory if she's not careful. Walter and Bentley look like they're plotting to make a break. And isn't it great that Lily and Edward are staying together? Siblings are fun to run with!

I'm kind of worried about Roxy and Bella, though. Are they lost?

Huh, I wonder what Mayor Murphy is looking at over that fence?

...Um. Guys? You might, uh, want to try running just a teeny bit faster. Because, uh...

And he brought friends! STAMPEDE!!!

OMC, guys! This is total chaos! I think Angel Stanzie is taking slightly unfair advantage of her status to stay out of trouble. Lassie and Sarge are looking like they're in a bit of trouble there. Ranger and Sweet William are geared up to run, but I think Easy is just going to plow over everyone to get out of here! Millie is on the lookout for a way out. But I think Socks is totally in charge here -- he's just going to ride the stampede to a quick getaway!

RUN, guys!! Head for Sweet William the Scott's for Mile 16, and maybe you can lose 'em!

Go Orange!

Did you know April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Months? The ASPCA is encouraging everyone to Go Orange to #fightcruelty. Momma and I are happy to join in!

Momma and I dream of a world where no animals ever suffer cruelty or abuse. Support your local shelters and rescues, and help fight to make this dream a reality!

Ready to run?

Good morning, Blogville! This is Scribbles and Pigeon, coming to you LIVE from the Legacy Chronicles. We usually leave this blogging stuff to the dogs so we have more time for napping. But we're here and always ready if there's something IMPAWTANT going on.

The Mayorz Marathon is coming up fast -- THIS Saturday, April 18th!! The Doodz have been working so hard to organize everything, and all the volunteers are working furiously to get the course ready. That's where WE come in!

See, our Angel Sissy Cinderella was going to host part of the course. But she's at the Rainbow Bridge now, and Casey's going to be busy trying to RUN the marathon. (Bwahaha! He gets tired at TWO miles!) So we stepped up and WE are going to be hosting! It's our very furst Blogville event to host, and we're preparing everything to be the BEST hosts of the marathon! So be sure to tune in on Saturday and see the exciting midpoint of the race!!

Oh yeah, and Casey wants us to tell everyone to cheer for him. Go Number 11!!

Drax the Destroyer!

We have a new foster at LBR, and he's a fearsome, terrifying guy named Drax the Destroyer!

"I will destroy you all with my cuteness!!"

So far Drax has been having a pretty busy day at his foster home. He's been learning how to howl from his foster brother, and learning how to accept adoration from his foster skin-sister.

Of course, he also has to start learning how to box, like any self-respecting boxer puppy!

He's learning the intricacies of how to handle a raised feeder.

It's enough to tucker a puppy out!

Rest easy, Drax. You'll be back to your destroying ways soon enough.

Update on Vivian

Remember I told you a little while ago that my former foster sissy Vivian was going to have surgery to remove a nasty old tumor? Well, the POTP worked! Her surgery went well and they were able to remove the whole thing. She's going to do a little bit of chemo now, but her dogtors think it's all going to be fine! Woohoo!!

We rocked the plant stand!

OMD, you guys, you won't EVEN believe it!! I told you that LBR was having our big plant sale, Roses for Rescue, on Saturday.Well, it was a HUGE success! The weather was pawfect, we had huge crowds, and LBR volunteers totally rocked it!!

We sold lots and lots of flowers and pretty plants -- roses, geraniums, ferns, and more -- plus had a big garage sale, AND a lot of vendors we know came out to set up tents too. It was an amazing day. Some of our more famous alums came out to say hello too. (I wasn't able to go because Momma was working her renny-sauce faire and I was having my usual playdate.)

Taro of the Three Boxer Brothers with LBR Pack Leader Auntie Sharon

And OMD, you just won't BELIEVES how much money we raised. You'll never guess, so I'll just tell you -- $33,135.00!!!!! That's SO much money to help our dogs! Every year we break our own record. It's just incredible. What a pawesome Easter gift.
