Life cycle of a toy

Oh boy, I had FUN this weekend! Our Best Guy came over to celebrate his barkday, so I had to give him lots of kisses. But do you know what, his momma Auntie M sent a present just for me?? She'd heard Momma say how much I loved plastic bottles, so she got me a special bottle.

"Oh wow, champagne?? I'm a high-stylin' doggie now!"

I immediately set to work opening the bottle to enjoy my bubbly. But I noticed something strange!

"Hmm, there's something odd about the bottom of this bottle..."

"What the woof?! That's not champagne, it's a plastic bottle!!"

What a pawesome surprise, huh?? The champagne bottle held a real live plastic bottle inside!!! I wasted no time pulling it out and chomping that thing into bits until Momma had to put it away.

"Wait a second...it didn't refill!! Don't champagne bottles magically refill???"

"I'm just going to keep a close eye on it in case it refills itself..."

PeeS: A big HAPPY BARKDAY to Casey's Boy today!!

Take Your Dog to Work Day

Oh boy, it's so exciting!! I've been asking Momma every year if I could go with her for Take Your Dog to Work Day, and she kept saying no no no. But this year, she said I could go to work with her!!!

...I feel like I have been cheated somehow.

Happy International Box Day!

As an official Boxer Ambassador, I would like to wish each and every one of you a happy International Box Day!! Please celebrate the day by boxing in whatever way you prefer.

PeeS: Sometime during quarantine, Momma gots a box delivered that made her laugh with how HUGE it was. So of course she made me take a picture posing in it, specifically for the next Box Day. Today she went to pull it up...and she can't finds it! She moved a bunch of pictures from her phone to her computer, but she's checked both places and can't find it anywhere. Good help is SO hard to find!! So you get an older box picture of me instead.

Food! And other stuff.

I finally gots to eat!!! That's the impawtant thing.

So Momma and I went up to the dogtor's after I starved for half the morning. We had to wait in the car instead going inside where everyone could fuss over me as usual, which I did NOT like. Every time one of the vet techs went by, I jumped around waiting to see if they were going to come pet me and love on me.

Then one of them finally came, and I went inside without Momma. I was not a fan of this. I kept twisting around and looking back to figure out where she was. Not fun. Then they did mysterious things in the back, looking at my paw with the owie and doing a skin scrape and all sorts of yucky stuff. The conclusion? Yup, I have allergies. I also have a bacterial infection AND a yeast infection in my paws. So I got lots of different meds to work on those things, and I have to take them for days and days and days!! Bah. But hopefully this will help things and I won't need to go to the allergist for full tests. Momma didn't like me going in on my own because I'm not as good at asking the dogtor questions, so there's still some stuff we have to figure out. But the impawtant thing?

I ate like a pig when I came home, and now I'm in a food coma under Momma's desk. Ahhhhhhh.

Send help

Too...weak.... Can't... go.... on!

Momma is STARVING me to death this morning!! In a little bit we're going to go visit the dogtor for my annual checkup, and Momma's going to ask her about my allergies. I'm licking my paws ALL the time and have a big sore on one, plus I've been going BALD! She's not sure what tests they might run, so she said I can't have breakfast until after we get back. If I survive that long!!!

Our hearts are broken...

Mine and Momma's hearts are just broken right now. Our dear friend Cammie went to the Rainbow Bridge this weekend after winning several fights with cancer only to lose to liver disease. She was always a bright spot in our lives, and in the lives of my great brothers and great sisters who loved her too. I know Casey was standing in line behind her brothers to welcome her to the Bridge. But we who are left behind are definitely the poorer for her loss. You can leave condolences for her family here.

We also heard from another dear furiend that they are struggling with a terrible issue that we aren't at liberty to reveal. But we are hoping and praying that it will still work out for the best, and we want them to know that we're thinking of them.

Hold all your furiends tight, folks.

Magic!

Lately it seems like my toys keep disappearing. Like my goose here.

Furst his legs disappeared. Then his head. Then all his innards! The last time Momma and I played tug with him, he was making this weird riiiiiiip sound instead of squeaking. Now I can't find him anywhere. I was also playing with my trusty Yellow Ball last night, and he stopped squeaking too. I tried some surgery to figure out what was wrong with him, but Momma took him off to recovery just after I got the hole open.

But THEN the magic happened!

Look at my Orange Ball!! Orange Ball magically showed up in my toy box yesterday, along with Yellow Ball AND his twin brother, plus Banana, PLUS Piggy! Momma said something about busy boxers being good boxers. Whatever. I LOVES Orange Ball so very very much, and all the other guys too. I've been playing with them all since they magically appeared, but Orange Ball is my favorite. And he never gets tired of playing like Yellow Ball used to. Momma used to take him away just when we were getting REALLY squeaky and say it was his nap time, but Orange Ball is the strong silent type. I guess he doesn't need naps. How fun!!

Do your toy boxes ever magically produce new toys? I'm going to have to start checking mine more often!

Field trip!!

OMD, guys, you'll never GUESS what I got to do this weekend!

On Saturday, Momma and I went to our Best Guy's house. It was my very furst time to go there, and Momma said I needed to be on my best behavior. DUH!  I'm always on my best behavior! We went to watch the pawesome new SpaceX launch, which was very exciting!

But know what else was exciting?

Our Best Guy has the BEST Nature TV at his house!! I was just sitting on the couch chilling when I saw tree rats run right by and play on the big tree. They were a little shy and froze when I came to watch. But there was also a BUNNY BUNNY BUNNY who ran by a few times, and lots and lots of birdies!I even smelled a big kitty in his backyard I said I'd love to play with, but Momma said no, bobcats are not for playtime. Boo! But I hope I can go back and watch Nature TV some more.

Momma kept telling me I was So Good and she was so proud of me. I mean...duh. Of course I'm good. Humans like to say the obvious sometimes!
