This is Jessie getting her camel treatments. She has to get subcutaneous fluid treatments every single day because of her kidney disease. Momma buys the bags of fluid -- called "lactated ringers" -- online. We had been using a company called Pet360. We found out this weekend they were taken over by Chewy. Great, now we can get this necessary product from the website we already love, woohoo!!!
"WHAT??? Really???"
But when we checked Chewy, we found that they STILL don't carry lactated ringers!! It made us SO sad that they would take over another company but then not carry all the things that the other company did! We found another (more expensive) source for lactated ringers, but we're still hoping that Chewy might decide to carry them in the future. We emailed, and they just said they'll add it to their Wish List of future products.
"Please, Mr. Chewy??"
If you use Chewy, please email them at service@chewy.com and request that they start carrying lactated ringers! Maybe that will get it moved up higher on their Wish List. Jessie would really appreciate it!
oh no, so sorry, hope they listen to you...

ReplyDeleteOh that is a great shame indeed... but I am sure that Chewy will give it some attention now you have raised the issue. Here's keeping paws crossed! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
We are on the ball with the email. Hopefully it will happen REAL soon. Hugs Mags

ReplyDeleteJessie girlfriend you are making me look bad...you are taking your subqs like a good girl. I squirm and move all around. Mom has to hold the needle in place and sometimes she had to put me in a choke hold.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the bribe of sardines while it is going on works sometimes it does not.
You are a very smart and obedient girl...me not so much.
Mom keeps hoping it will dawn on me that they are good for me.
The stuff I use is call sodium chloride not lactated ringers. wonder if they are the same?
We get it from the vet 'cause mom is worried she'd by the wrong stuff
Hugs madi your bffff
We might use something different because you're a kitty? Or it could be different names for the same stuff! We used to buy it from our vet, but it was $60 a bag from her and only $11 a bag from Pet360!!!! One bag is 4 treatments, and I do treatments every day, so that's a BIG difference for us!
DeleteI'm usually a good girl during treatments, though sometimes I squirm around and jump when Momma's trying to put the needle in. Once it's in, I usually just sit there quietly until it's done. Momma gives me cookies during the procedure. (Casey gets a few too, for sitting off to the side like a good boy.)
Jessie!
We hope they will listen to your request!
ReplyDeleteCammie!
