We were all celebrating Sugar's barkday yesterday, but it was another very impawtant birthday as well. My kitty brother Scribbles turned 15! Momma got him ages and ages ago (okay, 13 years ago) when she lived in Chicago and was going to law school. (Sugar is from Chicago too. They're so connected!) So we had to be sure to celebrate in style.
Furst, Momma let him play on the patio for a little while. He still likes to pretend he's a tough outdoor cat sometimes and tries to escape into the yard, so Momma lets him go out under close supervision sometimes for special occasions. Then she picked him up and carried him around the yard a little more. He really liked batting at the leaves on the fig tree.
Then, as you might have guessed by now, he got to have TUNA! He had a whole can to himself. Momma put in a candle and we all sang to him.
Scribbles was very generous and let Pigeon have some of the tuna juice. Cinderella and I even got treats for being so good and patient and gawjuss.
Happy 15th birthday, Scribbles! I'm glad you took such good care of Momma before I came along. Here's to many more!
(And, um, don't tell Momma that I stole your tuna can when you knocked it off the counter and licked it clean. But you were almost done anyway. Really.)
