Could you say no to these faces?
LBR sure can't! Last night we heard from a shelter that two boxer pups had ended up in their care, and both are very sick. They have that skeeriest of puppy diseases, parvo. :( There's just one problem. Treating them at one of our vets will cost upwards of $4,000. Ouch! And LBR is a tapped out after all the expensive surgeries it's had to pay for lately, like for Tex's amputation and Disney's double-knee surgery. So what could we do?
We could ask our fans, that's what! LBR created a donation page and put out the word to our fans on Facebook that we could only save these pups if we raised $2,000 by morning. And guess what? By this morning, we've already raised $3,600!! The pups are tagged for LBR and will be rushed to one of our vets as soon as they open. These two babies could really use some Power of the Paw to get them through this tough time. (And if you have any extra treat money, we're still raising money to cover their care!)
It's okay, babies. LBR is here. We'll take care of you.
Update:
Our sweet girls are at an LBR vet and getting the very best of care! Their names are Celestina and Luna, and they're about 8 weeks old. The donation page is up to $4500 for their care!
