Jessie's Final Foster Friday

Hi there, folks! As you see by the title, today is my very LAST Foster Friday post. That's because I'm not a FOSTER dog anymore!! Yup, I went and found myself a real live FUREVER home!!! OMD, it's everything I've ever hoped for. Foster Momma pawmised me when I came to live with her that she was going to get me all healed up and then find the best home EVER for me, and she sure did!! I'm going to be sooooooo spoiled and pampered, with all the cuddles I can handle and all the treats I can eat! I even get to sleep in the big bed! And I won't be alone either -- I get to have an amazing new fur brother who will teach me EVERYTHING there is to know about our new family, and even a sweet kitty who likes to cuddle with me too. Best of all, I'm going to have a MOMMA who's mine all mine and ---

Hey. Wait a second. All this description is sounding awfully familiar. Doesn't it sound just like my FOSTER home? YUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally finally FINALLY talked her into it, and Foster Momma is now my FUREVER MOMMA!!!!!!!!!!!

That means I get to stay with her and Casey and Pigeon forever and ever, and we're going to be a real FAMILY!!! AND I get to keep seeing all my pawesome Blogville furiends too! Thanks for all your tips and advice on how to convince her. It worked!!!!

Blogville Rodeo -- Bull Riding

Howdy folks, and welcome to the next event in the Blogville Rodeo -- BULL RIDING!! This is an exciting event, full of lots of thrills, chills, and spills. I'm Cowboy Casey, your host, and I'll be assisted by the lovely Jessie!

Let's get right to the action! Okay, folks, up furst we have ANGUS! He chose an unconventional shaggy cow to ride. Does all that hair give him extra traction to hold on? Look at that stance!

Oh wow, look at Baby Girl show everybody how a cowgrrl can ride! Everyone's cheering her on, even the clowns!

Next up we have our furst entry in the pairs riding competition -- Dory and Bailey! They've got a sturdy seat and aren't moving!

Yeeeowch! Poor Easy is moving a little TOO much. I don't know if he can hold on much longer!

Here comes Bentley. Just look at that stance! He's steady as a rock on that wild bull.

Take a look at Finn and Charley -- now there's a pair of siblings with some technique! They don't waver a bit!

BOL! I think Lassie and Benjie are a little confused -- the bull is riding THEM!!

Wow oh wow, look at Madi go!! Her bull is bucking wildly. Watch closely -- is she -- YES!! Her hat fell off, but Madi stayed on! Oh wow, folks, what a grreat ride!

Umm.... folks, let's not talk to much about this. I, uh, was just trying to make the rest of you look good. Yeah. That's what I did. Totally.

Next up we've got Mayor Murphy showing off his MOVES. That bull is doing everything it can to shake him off, but he's not budging!

Maggie Mae and Princess Leah found some nice quiet bulls to mount. Um... do you wants to tell them that they're supposed to ride the bulls, not just sit on them? Nah!

Yeehaw! Sarge is clinging by his paws to that bull. It's really giving him a run for his money!

Mayor Stanley makes this look easy!

Stella Rose is so confident, she's riding her bull backwards! WOW!!

Here comes Pierre. He looks like he's having a blast!

Sweet William the Scott just can't resist a song in the saddle.

BOL!! Little Ziggy wasn't quite sure what kind of bull he was supposed to be riding.

WAIT! Jessie! No, I told you, you're too YOUNG to go bull riding! Don't you dare -- wait, how little IS that bull?? Okay, I guess it's just your size!

I think this is a wrap, folks, We've had some AMAZING riders! I think every single rider is a WINNER, don't you??

Be sure to check out the rest of the rodeo!

One sick puppy

Folks, say hello to brand-new LBR foster Swagger!

Unfortunately, poor Swagger is being attacked by the evil monster Parvo! :( He is fighting hard, though, and has some pawesome LBR dogtors to help him. Please cross your paws and wish him luck in fighting the monster!

Next year you're going to want it to be November all year round, because THIS gawjuss face will be staring out at you from the 2016 Legacy Boxer Rescue Calendar! Yup, you're looking at Mr. November. How pawesome is that?!? I'm going to have to start looking for a handsome new collar.

Foster Friday

Helllllloooooo! Can you hears me? Is this thing on??

Oh, good, there we are! Hello, everybuddy, it's LBR foster Jessalyn here for another Foster Friday update! As you might can tell from my picture above, I'm feeling a little bit grumpy lately. Foster Momma says I'm at that point in heartworm treatment recovery where I feel better but I still can't be active. So I wants to PLAY but Foster Momma won't LET me. HRMPH!  So I'm doing a lot of this.

It's not so bad. I get to snuggle a lot with Foster Momma, and there are some really comfy dog beds around here. I've been mostly good and don't have to spend too much time in my crate to force me to stay calm.

I'm almost to the halfway point of my recovery, so I'll be off those restrictions in just over two weeks. PHEW!! Unfortunately, though, a few of my potty issues are troubling Momma -- I pees and pees and pees and pees, and my, uh, other stuff isn't very solid. So after I'm done with heartworm recovery, I'm going to have a few more tests to see if it's something boring like an infection or something a little harder to work out. I'll keep you all posted on that!

It's nice to have such a grreat foster brother to keep an eye on me while I'm recovering, though. I feel so safe and secure!

Jessie's first holiday photoshoot!

Jessie (LBR foster Jessalyn) is still working hard to convince Momma that she needs to be our furever dog. I told her that Momma loves putting us in funny props and taking pictures for every howliday. So if she wants to get in Momma's good graces, learn to pose! She was able to put my advice into good practice quickly, as Momma decided to do our Fourth of July photoshoot. Show 'em what you've got, kid!

 "Cheeeeeeese!"

"Psst, Casey, am I getting it right?"
"Sigh. I'd forgotten what it's like to work with amateurs."

"This head thingy is weird. Do I hafta wear it?"

"Okay, I wears it. Is this right?"
"Almost, kiddo. Just look at the flashy beast."

"OMD! This is taking so long! Foster Momma, take the darned picture!"
"Sigh. Have a little patience, kid."

"You're almost there, kid. Lighten up that expression a little."

"How's THIS, Casey?"
"Now there's the money shot, Jessie! Momma's going to MELT over this one."

Didn't she do a grreat job?? I'm so proud of her! Momma just can't hold up to THIS kind of onslaught for long.

Remember, today is the LAST day to get me your Bull Riding pictures for the Blogville Rodeo! Send them to me at dreagoddess(at)gmail(dot)com by midnight tonight!
