My Adoptiversary Adventure!

Since my adoptiversary was on a Monday, Momma and I didn't get to go out on an adventure to celebrate. So yesterday, I got my adventure! (Fun fact: we celebrate my adoptiversary because my barkday is in May when Momma is at her Renny-sauce faire every weekend and we can't do an adventure. Casey gets to celebrate his barkday because it's in October but his adoptiversary is in December when everything's busy!)

I was so excited when we got in the car. Momma wouldn't tell me where we were going!

"C'mon, Momma, just a little hint?"

Then we pulled up to PetCo! I was excited enough at that, but it turned out my LBR aunties were inside! I got to get lovings from everyone. One time when I was getting lots of lovings, I felt a little pinch on my shoulders and Momma said something about a "microchip," but whatever. Petting! After that, we went and picked out some treats from the cookie bar!

"Pawfect, I know those sandwich cookies are Casey's favorite."

THEN we got to go to a brand-new place for me. A pawesome bookstore called Half-Price Books lets doggies in, so we went and wandered for a while. Momma got a bunch of books, and I got loving from EVERYONE in the store. They were all super excited to see me!

"Hey Momma, stop stopping to look at all those BOOKS. There's someone up ahead who wants to pet me!"

And if that wasn't enough, on our way home we stopped at Sonic for TATER TOTS!! (Casey's favorite treat is cheeseyburgers, but they aren't good for my kidneys. So I get all the tater tots, and I loves them!)

I was so exhausted from all the fun, I slept the rest of the way home.

Thanks fur a grreat adventure, Momma!

  2. What a fun way to celebrate your gotcha-versary! Phod is a bit jealous as yours sounds better than his (you didn't have to go to the vet).

    1. If it makes Phod feel any better, Jessie went to the vet on her barkday in May. :)

    1. Momma's been meaning to do it for a long time, since Jessie's a runner! But she couldn't manage to get Jessie to one of LBR's pet fairs where they do low-cost chipping.
