This blog is usually reserved for the pups, but since today is National Cat Day, I wanted to take a moment to salute my kitty siblings.
Scribbles is the old man of the house. He was Momma's very furst pet on her own. He's a tough Chicago alley cat and has lived in more places than any of us -- all the way from Chicago down to Texas, living in different apartments with Momma and finally moving into our house. He's 15 years old. He started out really mean, and he's still like that to us pups sometimes! He hisses at us a lot, but we know he just has to act tough. He loves Momma more than anything in the world, and he snuggles with her when she's at the computer.
Can you believe my kitty sister Pigeon was once a stray? She lived outside Grandma and Grandpa's house, and Momma started feeding her. She was SO sweet that Momma knew she'd been a pet before and needed to come live in a house again. So she went to live with Momma and Scribbles! She's 11 years old now and quite the dignified lady. She was super-skeered of us pups when we first moved in, but she's gotten to know us now and will come snuggle with me sometimes! She loves to hang out on top of the kitchen cabinets and watch the world go by.
Our house wouldn't be quite the same without my kitty siblings! Happy National Cat Day to all the other cool cats out there.
