Flower's Bunch! URGENT POWER OF THE PAW NEEDED!!!

Our little Clover sadly went to the Bridge this morning. His sissy Iris is at the ER right now, fighting for her life. She's been seizing, we think because of low blood sugar. She's in for a heck of a fight, and she can use all the vibes you can send her.

Did you know that today is National Sunglasses Day? My buddy Ranger told me about it, and I think this is a holiday I can totally get behind! I look totally cool in shades.

A hard day

Yesterday was a hard day for LBR. I told you about Gianni and Bravo sadly losing their fight against parvo. Their brother Gizmo is still fighting! We were happy for some life adding to the world after that when Flower had her first pup. Sadly, she labored for 12 hours to deliver 7 pups, but only 2 of them survived. :~~(

We want to focus on the good, though. Please meet handsome Mr. Clover, Flower's first-born, and his beeYOUtiful little sister Miss Iris. (Iris has the white collar markings.) Please give them all the good thoughts you can spare that they'll thrive where their siblings couldn't.

Godspeed, little puppies. Grow big and strong on the Bridge, and watch your brother and sister here!

Flower's puppies are coming!!!

She faked us out a few times, but Flower's finally in real labor, and the first of her puppies has been born! There are supposed to be 5-6 of them, so we'll meet them all soon!!

Edit: Sadly, I have to add that two of the mangey pups I told you about yesterday, Gianni and Bravo, have gone to the Rainbow Bridge. They just weren't strong enough to fight mange and parvo both. Their brother Gizmo is still fighting, though, so please keep him in your thoughts!!

Puppy Power of the Paw needed!

These sad little pups could use the power of the paw, STAT!! They've been with our vet since Friday. They're only 6-8 weeks old, and we knew when we pulled them that they (obviously) have really bad cases of mange. I remember how itchy and miserable that is!! But then when we got them to our vet, we realized that they're also fighting Parvo. :(  Our vet doesn't think the two little ones will make it, but we're doing everything we can to fight for them!

Water Mania!

Today is Sarge's WATER MANIA Day!! I'm not quite the water dog some of my furiends are, but I enjoy a good splash as much as the next pup. (It's that actual swimming thing that bugs me.) Here's the pic I sent in to Sarge

How's that for an action shot?? That's me two years ago at the Wags & Waves event, where a local waterpark opens up just for us pooches at the end of the season. It's so much fun! I get to splash as much as I want, and I look super cool in my snazzy life jacket.

But Wags & Waves only comes once a year. Luckily, the pawesome new dog park right around the corner from my house has a fun water play area too!

Yup, I'm all prepared to stay cool and be a WATER MANIAC this summer!

Gosh, it looks like Tet's cute little puppies aren't going to be the youngest LBR fosters for long. Wanna know why?

Say hi to FLOWER! Miss Flower was super skeered, because she ended up pregnant, alone, and in a shelter. She didn't want to have her puppies in a cold shelter on the concrete! Luckily, LBR heard about her and brought her right home. Now she has a FIRST CLASS puppy birthing facility, and we're all eagerly awaiting the Big Day.

Welcome to the LBR family, Miss Flower! We can't wait to meet YOUR new family.

Mancat Monday

Some of my furiends celebrate "Mancat Mondays", where the mancat of their house gets a chance at the blog. I don't usually do that, because I have DOG blog, and that darned cat gets to control too much of my house already!!!  But Momma got this picture of my kitty brother Scribbles this weekend, and we both thought it was too funny not to share.

But my good furiend Sugar is celebrating an impawtant day today, the one-year anniversary of her See Beautiful blog hop. After all our cute little puppy pictures, I thought I'd share a picture of everybody's favorite baby, Baby Austin!

...Wait, where's Baby Austin?? He's supposed to be napping on the couch with his skin sister. Hmmm, maybe that huuuuuge dog is blocking the view of him! BOL. It's amazing how cute little puppies grow up! Baby Austin is 77 pounds already, and he's not even a year old yet! Yowzers.
