Itch itch!

Ooh, I feel itchy all over again just looking at these pictures. Last week, LBR got the call about five 2-3 month old pups in a local shelter, all suffering from sarcoptic mange. It's easier to treat than demodex mange (the kind I had), but it's a lot itchier on the poor pups while they have it.

Luckily, all five pups got LBR foster homes and are being treated. They're learning what the good life is all about! Check out pretty Miss Ducky, who even got her own ducky towel for her frequent baths.

It's good to be bad!

Thank you everyone for wishing Momma a happy birthday yesterday. It made her smile lots, and that made me smile too! But hey, it's my blog, so enough about HER! Another special person is having a birthday on Wednesday, which is obviously more important. Just saying. :)

Anyways, yesterday I got a pawsome package in the mail with MY name on it. I love packages!!

When I saw the return address, I remembered what it was for. It was from Tucker! He held a "Bad to the Bone" contest, and I won FURST PRIZE! Here's my prize-winning picture. I don't know why he thought it was so bad, but I was just happy to win.

There are toys in here, but Scribbles is trying to steal it from me. Quick, Momma, protect the squeakies!!

I got TWO new toys, a spiffy new collar that says "no no no" all over it, and a treat I had to chose to share with Cinderella. Thanks, Tucker! This was a grreat contest!

Oh happy day!

Today is a very very very special day. See, on this day . . . um, I'm not allowed to say how long ago, but years and years and years and YEARS ago, my MOMMA was born!!!

Her life was okay, but then she adopted ME and it obviously became so incredibly much better.

I love my momma very much. She plays with me and gives me treats and buys me new toys and snuggles with me at night so I don't get skeered or cold.

So I want to take today to wish Momma a very happy birthday!

I wanted to get her the most specialest birthday present in the whole wide world. But how could I ever match giving her the most pawsome present of ME?

Okay, and Cinderella's pretty cool too.

I decided to wake Momma up early with kisses alllllllll over her face to show her how much I love her, then drop my favorite toy on her neck so she could enjoy playing fetch and tug with me a little. She really seemed to love it.

 Happy birthday, Momma! Even though you're, like, ancient in dog years, you're still a pretty cool pup.

Random fall pictures

It's fall, my favorite season! It's starting to get nice and cool, comfortable enough to take long walks in without melting into a Caseypuddle like I would in the summer. I love being a Texan, but this living in Texas in the summer is a little much!

One of the best parts of fall is that Momma loves it too, so she'll just randomly say "Let's go somewhere!" and grab our leashes. This weekend, after she got back from working at Mums & Roses, she took us to a local park with some walking trails. It was pretty chilly, so we pulled on our sweatshirts for the first time this season. I must say, I look dashing.

The next morning, Momma planted the flowers she bought at M&R. We've run out of room for most of them, but she found a little corner to put two mums and some painted sunflowers in. It's at the front of the house, so I wasn't able to snoopervise, but I think she did a pretty good job.

Then she finally remembered to go pull our Halloween decorations out of the garage and got the front porch set up. Several of you asked about the white pumpkins yesterday -- they're called "ghost pumpkins," and they're nice and skeery for Halloween! I put my boxer buds next to it to guard it.

Then came the annoying part of having the decorations out. Momma delayed our walk so she could take a few pictures! Yes, that's right, we were getting ready to joyfully head out on our evening walk, when Momma said, "Hang on, let's get a pumpkin picture." I was SO not amused.

Cinderella put on a brave face, but she can smile at nearly anything.
