Isn't she a beauty?? Momma said she got interrupted in the middle of taking off her eye makeup when the call came she was breaking out of the shelter. BOL! Whatever her story, Amethyst is an LBR dog now, and so she's part of the family! Unfortunately, Amethyst had a skeery past before she came to see us.
Yup, that's her LEG! Ooooh, I get shivers just looking at that. We don't know how it happened, but by the time she came to us, our special bone dogtor said that it was too bad to fix. So today ,Amethyst is going to have her leg taken off. She's a little skeered, but she knows that she'll be better off soon.
"I'm ready for my new life. Let's roll!"
So everyone please cross your paws for Miss Amethyst that her surgery goes smoothly. She can't wait to start looking for her furever home, even if it's on three legs!
Pupdate: Amethyst's surgery took almost 3 hours, but it went very well. She's officially a tripod now and will be staying with the dogtor for at least one night. She appreciates all the power of the paw that's come her way!
You sure are pretty
