Always something surprising

I hope everyone had a fangtastic weekend! We spent LOTS of time snuggling with Momma, which always makes for a grreat time. But we did have something kinda weird happen. When Momma was out for her run, well...

Yup, the bed cover exploded! Can you believes that? It's a miracle no one was hurt.

Oh, and look how mucMkhitaryan is improving! We're so glad to see he's feeling better. That nasty abscess will be gone in no time!

I hurt looking at him!

Yesterday some pawesome LBR volunteers pulled together to save LBR foster Mkhitaryan. (Pronounced "Mick - Hit - Arian". He's named after a Manchester United player.) Brace yourselves for these pics, they're NOT fun.

Here's poor Mkhitaryan in the shelter.

Not so bad? Turn his head a little...

He apparently was attacked at some point, and by the time he turned up at the shelter, it had gotten infected and abscessed! He was very close to death when he came to the shelter, so LBR had to spring into action right away!

Our vet lanced and drained the wound, and he's already looking MUCH better.

Send Mick some prayers and Power of the Paw, please! He still has a long road to go to get better!

Happy International Box Day!

Being boxers, Jessie and I are natural ambassadors for this impawtant howliday -- International Box Day!

Edit: Pigeon made Momma laugh. Momma left the Chewy box out after our photoshoot. When she came back into the room, Pigeon was letting her know that SHE wanted to be included too. BOL!

Also, we would like to bow our heads and remember our sweet angel brother, Scribbles. He passed away two years ago today, but we still think of him often!

Happy Father's Day!

Jessie and I don't have a daddy, but we have a fangtastic grandpa!

Jessie especially is completely Grandpa's girl, as you can see. We're out with Momma to visit Grandma and Grandpa this weekend, so we'll just wish all the daddies out there a very happy Father's Day!

Remembering my furiend Bilbo

Jessie and I are so sad to hear that our furiend Bilbo from Da DB Boyz went to join his sister Dory at the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. He has been our furiend for a long time, and Blogville will not be the same without him. :( We sent lots of love to his brothers Artie and Jakey and his loving pawrents so they can get through this hard time.

Tonight, Jessie and I are going to eat pumpkin cookies and have a toast for Bilbo!

Guest star selfie

Momma was supposed to post this yesterday for Sunday Selfies, but she furgot. Good help is SO hard to find! Anyway, this week I decided to let a guest star join us for selfie time.

That's Officer Justice, one of the hard-working horsies in the McKinney Mounted Patrol. Momma ran a 5k on Saturday that was raising money for the mounted patrol, and Officer Justice came out with his human and two other pawlice horsies to snoopervise events.

You can tell he's a real pawfessional at this. Momma said that when she first said hello to him, he started lipping her hand like he thought she had an apple or sugar cubes or something. But as soon as she pulled out her phone and asked if he'd be in her pre-race selfie, he immediately pulled up his head and posed for her.

Thanks fur all your hard work, Officer Justice!

Throwback Thursday: Hanging out at the BAR

We can't believe it's been a whole year since the Blogville Awesome Retreat. We had SO much fun there, roadtripping with our momma and meeting up with good furiends.

Jessie got to see her man Stanley in the furs. It was love at furst sight, of course!

I got to see Stella Rose, one of my very furst blogging buddies.

No other trip can ever compare to the fun we had at the BAR!

Tongue-Out Tuesday

This is me during one of my camel treatments. I'm a super-duper good girl for them. I sit patiently while Momma sticks me and while the fluids are flowing. Sometimes I'll lick Momma, but otherwise I sit quietly. But then afterwards, Momma brings out a big nummy bone for me to chew on! (And one for Casey to, since he's good and sits quietly during my treatment too.) I can handle a little poke and sitting still for a yummy bone!

Jessie!
