Blanketed with Love!

Hey folks! Putting on my LBR ambassadog hat to tell you about some totally pawesome people. I've talked before about Blanketing Boxers with Love, a group of amazing people who hand-make cozy blankies to send out to foster boxers all over the country. The goal is to give every foster boxer a blanket of his or her very own so they can take something familiar with them to their furever home. LBR has been a recipient of their blankies for a few months now, and our fosters are loving it!!

  9. Both Samba and Fudge arrived with blankies that their moms and siblings had slept on. I did the same with my pups when they went to their new homes. I also make blankets for the local shelter so that dogs and kitties can have something of their very own to keep forever.

  15. That's wonderful!! I have the book proceeds going to the Ontario rescue group through April 1st. Sales are a bit down as both boosk have been out a year or more, but Saving Grace is still in the top 100 in sales at Amazon so I will donate all sales for the rest of April to Blanketing Boxers, and I'll put up a link on my Facebook and Twitter. I can't imagine how comforting that is for the dogs - I remember how scared Abby Lab was when we first got her from a high kill shelter.

  18. Sammy Davis, my Coastal Boxer boy is thrilled with his blanket! We keep laying it across his bed, he keeps bunching it up- he likes to sleep with his nose under it. He will share his blankie with his 2 adopted cat brothers, he's a VERY good boy.
