Congrrats, Momma!! (And welcome home!)

You may have noticed we've been real quiet for a few days. That's because Momma abandoned us all for a giant mouse for the WHOLE long weekend! Can you believes it?! You might remember back in January, Momma visited the Mouse in Florida and ran her very furst marathon. Well, the Mouse has a special challenge that if you run a half-marathon or above at BOTH his houses in one year, then you get a special medal. Momma says she's all about the bling. So this week, she jetted off to Callyfornia to run the Dumbo Double Dare.

 That's the 10k on the left and the half-marathon on the right.

The Dumbo Double Dare is running a 10k on Saturday and a half-marathon on Sunday. WOW. That sounds like a lot, but it's only 19.3 miles in two days. In Florida, Momma ran a half and a full marathon, for 39.3 miles. This was a walk -- well, a run -- in the park after that. BOL!! And fur all that hard work, Momma earned the Coast to Coast medal!


Momma was very happy to get this challenge done. She visited her BFF Goofy to show off ALL her medals.


But now she's done with all that silly gallivanting around and is HOME with us. PHEW!! We missed her SO much.  We were just lost without her.

    Congrats to your fabulous mom!!! WOOOHOOO! and I'm glad she is back and together with you and yu can have supper together... that's better than to eat in a resaurant where Goofy is the chef :o)

    39 miles oh mypug...your mom is like a super hero!!!! And she met that big mouse, you guys looked like you missed her, at least you were not pacing the floor waiting on hers to get home, maybe she brought you a shirt or something..........stella rose

    After reading this post, mum was telling me that when she lived in the New York area and belonged to World Runners, she used to work in the Chutes at a lot of the races (including the New York Marathon a couple of times). She was unable to run in marathons -- she only ran a 5K and came in last but one (the last person was an Achilles road race runner)!!! After that, she just helped out in the chutes every race she could until she could no longer stand for the necessary time.
