Send a life raft!
Good grief, furiends! It's getting kerazy around here. Texas has been in a drought pretty much since I've been alive, but this spring we're getting insane amounts of rain. And in Texas, that usually comes with nasty storms. This weekend we were getting pounded by all sorts of flash floods, high winds, hail, and tornadoes! I told Momma to batten down the hatches, I was hiding out the whole weekend!!
I was kinda worried about Momma, because she was out at her Renny-sauce Faire all weekend, and there's no real shelter there. They had some skeery moments and actually closed a little early on Sunday because of storms coming through. Yikes! I hope this weird weather blows through soon and we have some NICE weather!

ReplyDeleteWE have been watching this on TV.... and have been VERY worried about YOU and the rest of our Texas furends... Glad that YOU are safe...
ReplyDeleteOur human brother now lives in Keller, and Mom has been texting them all the time to be sure they are paying attention to the weather. They came there from CA and all they worried about there was fires and earthquakes. We hear they have had lots of rain and thunder boomers too.
ReplyDeleteHope this week is a much drier one for all.

This weather is the craziest. My auntie lives in New Mexico near the Colorado border and she had snow. Her daughter who lives in New Mexico but on the Texas Panhandle border had flooding. We have had thunder storms (pretty mild and short-lived) this Spring which brought a smattering of rain. Not enough to revive our lawn, though.

We're glad you guys are OK - I know your weather has been so nasty! Our town made national news because of the flooding last week. Like you, we've been at "severe drought" status -- then BAM! 5" of rain in a couple hours. Yikes. Lots of storms, too.
ReplyDeleteStay safe, Casey!
Cammie!
We talked to our hooman uncle in Texas today and he said it is raining like crazy. He is off work when it rains. So maybe it is time for it to stop!
