Cinderella and I were out walking yesterday when suddenly we went on alert! Do you see what we saw?
It's hard to see, but just to the right of the tree straight in front of me, there's a totally pawesome bird! I've never seen one like it around here before. It was a light blue-gray and had a skinny body and tall neck. It looked like some kind of water bird, but we weren't near water. Cinderella and I wanted to go say hello, but Momma said he was probably still moving in and didn't want visitors yet. Maybe I'll bring him a neighborly gift if we see him again.
What kind of cool stuff do you see on your walks?
Looks like a great blue heron. Pretty

We too would have said a blue heron. I think a welcome gift from you both would be much appreciated!

You guys have REALLY good eyes cos mom thought it was a garden statue...geeze don't take her with you on walks cos she is liable to fall down flat on her face!

Onetime I saw a deer...that's about as exciting as it get around here!

Looks like it might truly be a blue heron. We have seen deer a few times, a coyote once, a small fox, and two very strange turkeys. Wonder what we will find on our walk today.

The little girls saw their first bunny the other night. It was sitting under the tree and hopped away with it's big white tail bobbing in front of them. They were very excited.
ReplyDeleteWe think it might be a Blue Heron also. They often nest AWAY from Water.
ReplyDeleteTHAT was a fun thingy to see on your walk.
We saw WORMS today... they were still out after the rain yesterday.
I hope you get to meet him sometime. Birds are pretty cool. I would like to fly, I think.

We don't go on 'walks' as we have 2 acres to play on... we have bunnies and foxes (who are hilarious beeteedubs.. they walk around like "sup, what you lookin' at??") and all sorts of birds... and the stinky cows across the road...
