And here's a special bonus pic from Bark in the Park last weekend. They had a pawtographer there doing portraits, so Momma and I posed for one. I think it turned out pretty grreat! I love my momma. :)
Finally, here's a Howl-o-ween rescue treat! LBR got an urgent call from a local shelter yesterday. A female boxer had been left in their overnight drop-box, and she was sick. They took her to the V-E-T, and he discovered she was having puppies! There was a puppy that got stuck in the birth canal, and instead of helping her, her owners just left her in the drop-box. Can you believe that?!
The stuck pup passed away, along with three other of his littermates. But three pups managed to survive. LBR immediately jumped into action to help this poor momma out!
Look at that smile! She knows she and her babies are safe now and will get all the care and loving they can handle. Welcome to LBR, Mama! And your cute li'l babies too.

What awful owners... We would love to know who they are so we could bite off their testicles or something awful like that... probably ankles because we do not jump high enough to really do damage.

Another case of animal cruelty. At least they dropped her at the shelter but this wasn't enough in her case. This dog needed immediate help.

ReplyDeleteSome people are duds. Srsly. We are sooo glad the outcome of the Mama and her pups was good (although sad that some pups didn't make it). It could have gone terribly wrong for her! Thanks LBR :)

What the hell is wrong with some people? That makes me so darn mad. I am glad some of the pups survived! I bet you guys got a ton of petting last night, I got a lot of "oh, cute puppy" comments!!

What a great Halloween present for that beautiful mom. To be able to get away from humans who didn't deserve her in the first place.
