Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh boy, it's finally here!! It's Valentine's Day!!! But before we get to my big date with Mayzie, I want to take a moment to think of a very special doggy.

K is going to starting chemotherapy on Friday to blast her cancer to itty bitty bits. I know she and her loved ones are very scared. Boxers unfortunately know all about cancer. I've lost some good friends to it, and my sissy Cinderella has had to have bunches of lumps removed. I join everyone else in sending very special wishes for a successful surgery and a swift recovery.

And now...

I'm so so SO excited! I won this date over lots of very worthy doggies, so I have to make sure I do this right. First, I have to get ready.

...Okay, these bow ties are a lot harder than they look! Especially without opposable thumbs. Mom, a little help?

Much better! Do I look okay?

All right, now, Grandpa told me that the secret to a lady's heart is to bring flowers...

These are almost as pretty as Mayzie. I hope she likes them.

Next I need an extra-special gift for her. I have the most perfect thing picked out.

Mmm, these are so pretty, and they smell wonderful, and I just know they're going to taste so incredibly yumm--

What do you mean "dogs can't have chocolate"?! Mom! Why'd you let me buy them, then?! "Oops", you guess you'll just have to eat them? Not funny, Mom.

But that's okay. I have a backup plan, just in case! She's going to love this just as much, because it's pretty and yummy and--

Are those chocolate chips?

I see what you're doing. I'm SO ashamed of you, Mom. You are never allowed to help me with my shopping again!

Sheesh. A guy tries to be a good date, and look what happens.

But don't worry, Mayzie, I was a Pup Scout -- I'm always prepared! I have my backup backup plan. Just a second, let me get it ready... Almost... There!

Mayzie, will you be my Valentine?

  1. Awwwwwwe, Casey, you looks so handsome!!!!! Mayzie is just gonna faint when hers sees you. Da roses is a nice touch too.
I am so glads Mayzie is gonna go to da dance withs you, I thinks you can be trusted withs my BFF. I likes you!
My mum wouls so do what your mom did withs da foodables...hehehe!

    1. I'm thinking of seeing if Mango will accept a late entry in the Bad Sport category. Darn Mom. She's making lots of yummy noises when she eats them too.

    Sweetie Peetie and Lovey Dovey

  3. (Thunk!) Oh, sorry. That was me fainting, just like Puddles said I would. (She knows me SO well.) Oh, Casey, you looks VERY Most Handsome! And I LUVS the flowers and the squeakies! Moms are kinda sneaky abouts that chocolate thing, huh? Maybe we could just lick on the frosting off the cookie and let her have the rest of it. Heehee!

I am SO super excited to be your Valentine! Let's dance!

    Wiggles & Wags,

  4. OMC did I ever tell you how much I love a mandog in a bowtie??? Oh my can you year my sighs?!! Mayzie will be most appreciative of the flowers and the fact that you dressed formal just for her. I hear she watches her figure very closely so it is ok that you don't have any candies for her.
    Hugs from your BFFF,

  5. Casey you are such a romantic. You and Mayzie make such a beOOtiful couple. Her is one of my BFFs, I know you will take good care of hers. ;)

    Woofs and Licks,
    Maggie Mae and Max
