OMD, it snowed!

I know you Northern pups aren't impressed, but here in Texas we don't gets a lot of snow. We had our ice storm earlier this week, which was yucky! Then yesterday we were supposed to get a dusting to 1" of snow. Hah! It started coming down really heavy and all the roads got yucky, so the nice people at Momma's work said, "Go home!" Momma went!

We got in lots of snuggle time on the couch. That's me and my kitty sister Pigeon with Momma. Then it was so cold that Scribbles and Pigeon decided to snuggle together!!

Cinderella and I snuggled in for a long, cozy nap. Cinderella with her toys, and me with my Momma. Just how it's meant to be!

Then Momma had a totally kerazy idea. I mean kerAZY!! She actually thought it would be fun to go OUTSIDE in that nasty cold white stuff. Can you believe it?!

I told her ain't no way, ain't no how. I'm staying inside where it's warm and cozy and--- did you say WALKIES?! Get my coat, let's GO!!

Okay, I still prefer the couch and blankie. But walkies are always fun, even in the snow!

LBR foster Vander says, "Get your blankies ready! It's COLD today, and we're even supposed to have SNOW!"

We has PUPPIES!!

That's right, furiends, Momma Mya's pups started coming late last night, and boy, are they beauties!! We have 7 so far -- 5 boys and 2 girls -- but we're not sure if she's completely done or not. Say hello to the Winter Wonderland pups!

#1 -- Ice!

# 2 -- Drizzle

#3 -- Our first girl, sweet Miss Arctic!

#4 -- our other girl, Nurse Cupcake! (The name's a long story. It's some kind of in-joke from some of the LBR volunteers.)

#5 - Celsius

#6 - Chill! He's my favorite. Look, he's already trying to give kisses!!

And finally, #7 -- Slush!

Aren't they just the cutest pups you've ever seen?! I loves them all already. I'll be sure to give you lots of updates on them. For now, I think Momma Mya has earned some sleep!

Wordless Wednesday: Ice, Ice, Baby! Edition

PeeS: I don't have any Marnie updates right now, sorry! We've been pretty well shut down for the past few days thanks to the ice storm, so she hasn't been able to see her regular vet. Right now they're waiting to see if her ear has enough blood flow left to save it. They may be able to just crop it a little more instead of removing the whole thing.

Puppy watch continues...

I don't have any updates on Miss Marnie, but she appreciates all your POTP!! In the meantime, LBR is still on puppy watch with sweet Momma Mya! We've had a big ice storm and are all snowed into our houses, so she's trying to stay warm here with her foster bro Tzietzel.

She's making sure her pups get plenty of nutrition!

And she's making sure to bank plenty of sleep, since she's not going to get any once the little bundles of joy arrive!

Her foster momma decided on a name theme for the puppies, too. In honor of our ice storm, we're going to have a Winter Wonderland litter! The pups will have names like Ice, Arctic, and Chill. I think that's totally pawesome.

As for me, I'm not too happy about our ice storm. See, here in Texas we don't get lots of fluffy snow to play in like y'all up north. We just get a solid sheet of ice instead, so you can't do anything. It's so icy Momma and I aren't even going on walks. We go on walks when there's snow to my armpits, but nooooo, not now! Hrmph. BUT today is the second day in a row that Momma has stayed home from work. I try to make sure she stays nice and warm.

It's a ruff job, but I'm up to the task!

For Boys' Eyes Only:

Don't furget that I'll be hosting a Texas Paw-B-Q and Cookout on Blogville Boys' Night out on March 23rd! If you'd like to pawticipate, send your pictures to me at dreagoddess(at)gmail(dot)com by Friday, March 13th. Pictures of you eating are preferred, but any pictures are okay. Thanks!

POTP for Marnie!

My poor LBR cousin Marnie was attacked yesterday in her own yard! Poor baby. She was out in her own fenced yard for a potty break, and two big neighbor dogs broke in and attacked her. She has a lot of puncture wounds all over her face, including inside her mouth, and one of her ears was shredded. She might lose it. She could really use some strong POTP from everyone.

LBR alum Marnie in better times

Please send Marnie all the strength you can. She's going to need it for her fight!

PeeS: LBR fans rock. They've already raised over $2k on Marnie's GoFundMe account for her vet bills, and a fan who works in the fencing business has offered to fix her fence for free. It's pawesome seeing people banding together to help!

Love Your Pet Day! and some Pupdates

Ranger says today is Love Your Pet Day. I thought that was every day -- Momma loves me lots and lots, and all the rest of us too!!

Now for the pupdates! Furst, I'm feeling so much better now that I'm on this anti-inflammatory and glucosamine. I just didn't want to tell Momma that I was hurting a bit. But now I'm back to my wiggly self, and Momma gets all excited when I jump up on the furniture. How's that for good news?

Next, Miss Amethyst is doing just fangtastic! Look at this gawjuss girl!

Her leg has been healing up so fast her dogtor is amazed! He said it would take a few weeks for the bruising and stuff to go down, but look how grreat she looks after just ONE week! Wow!

Also, for those who were wondering about her, I heard from my grrl Maggie Mae. She got the sutures out from her ACL surgery and is doing much better. She's looking forward to doing boxer burns again soon!

We'll be back to dancing all night soon!

Finally, for BOYS' EYES ONLY! If you haven't check out Frankie Furter's blog, we're going to have a Blogville Boys' Night on March 23rd! Since our usual gourmet Chef Sasha can't come ('cause she's a GIRL!), I've volunteered to host a very MANLY real Texas Cookout! We'll have every kind of meat, some good grilled corn on the cob, and lots of manly beer!

If you'd like to come to the cookout, send me a picture of you by Friday, March 13th. A picture of you eating would be grreat, but if not, don't worry -- I'll supply plenty of food! Send your pics to me at dreagoddess(at)gmail(dot)com. It'll be pawesome!

LBR is on puppy watch!

Look at this cutie pie!! She is being picked up by LBR volunteers today so she can have her puppies in a safe place. OMD, I just loves her teefies. And her little kitty ears remind me of Cinderella's! I can't waits to learn more about her. I'll share details once I have them.

Pupdate: Her new foster momma tells me that her new name is "Mya." It means "Great Mother," and we know she will be!! The dogtor says it looks like about 7 pups, and they could come any time!!

Busy weekends!

Boy oh boy, Valentine's Day was SO much fun! I had a grreat time with my grrl Maggie Mae at the H2H Dance. Otherwise, my weekend was a whole lot of this...

That's my bestie Penny, her sissy Bebe, and Auntie Amanda lurking in the background. The time has started for Momma and us to start going down to stay with Auntie Amanda every weekend while Momma works at the renny-sauce festival. So we'll be pretty quiet on the weekends for a while!

Thanks to everyone for all the crossed paws for my vet visit. The vet took some blood and urine to run some tests and see if she can figure out why I'm a little off my game. The GOOD news is that the dogtor isn't worried about my lumpy. She thinks I got a little blood vessel rupture or something when Frankie and I had our spat and it's just scar tissue. So Momma's just going to keep an eye on it for a while yet. When my blood tests come back, we'll see if maybe I'm having some trouble with my thyroid, kidneys, or some other issue. The dogtor also suggested I start on glucosamine, since I'm getting a little older and might be feeling the ol' arthritis kicking in. I'll let everyone know what my blood results come back with!

Pupdate: The results are in, and I passed with flying colors. My blood and urine is all pawfect. (Told you, Momma!) So the vet is thinking probably arthritis or something else that's hurting me a bit. We're going to try some anti-inflammatories and see if that helps! If not, we'll keep looking for another explanation.

My Valentine Date!

Oh boy, I've been looking forward to today for SO long! It's time for the Mayorz' Heart 2 Heart Dance, and I have the prettiest girl in the whole place! My girl Maggie Mae graciously agreed to accompany me, and OMD, she is SO pretty!

I'm just the luckiest guy there is! I had to see my sissy Cinderella off furst. Yente Ruby set her up with our very own Police Commissioner, Sarge! Here she is ready to go. She's just such a princess!

Then it was time to take my girrl to the dance! Everything was decorated so beeYOUtifully.

I took my girl to the dining room first so we could have some of Chef Sasha's amazing foodables.

Then it was time to dance the night away! Maggie Mae has had some problems with her knee, but you'd never guess from how light on her feet she is!

We're going to dance and pawty the night away! I hope we'll see you around. Thanks Doodz for such a grreat event!

Love is in the air!

It's almost Valentine's Day, and I guess everyone can feel it! Even my mean kitty brother Scribbles is acting all lovey dovey.

"I loves you, Auntie Jess!"

Hey, back off, cat. This is MY picture!

That's right. Me and my boy. That's how it's supposed to be.

"Whatever, dog. I was Momma's boy first."

PeeS: Thank you for all the good thoughts yesterday. Momma is trying hard not to be nervous for me. My vet appointment is this afternoon, so we'll let you know how it goes!

A minor request...

Furiends, could you do me a favor? Everything is totally fine with me, but if you could send a little POTP my way it would sure make my momma feel better. Remember I told you about that weird lump I had a few weeks ago when my cousin Frankie and I had a little spat? Well, it's still there. Momma says she's noticed some changes in me over the past month or so too, like not wanting to jump up on furniture like usual and being a little cranky with Frankie, that kind of thing. I told her she's overreacting, but she's afraid there's something wrong with me that might be the cause of all of this.

Soooooo I'm going to the dogtor tomorrow for a little checkup just to make her feel better. I can put up with getting a little blood drawn if it helps my momma. So could you please send a few good thoughts our way so Momma doesn't worry her way into an early grave? Thanks!
